A Walk In Nature

“What more could please the soul than to walk free and know no superior.” Matthew Arnold

What indeed!  Nature allows us to revisit that which should be important in life.  It gives us an opportunity to clear our minds of the mundane and focus on priorities, like happiness and family.

Nature puts life in perspective.  It has been here before us, and most likely will be here after we have left this Earth.

Nature gives us serenity, and in that serenity we can gain truth and peace of mind.

When was the last time you took a nature walk?  Don’t you think it’s about time to do it again?  Grab your loved one (s) and head out the door; in so doing you just might get in touch with yourself and all that is really important in life.

  1. This is a very nice reminder, Bill, about what is truly important in life.I love standing in my back yard and looking up at the stars over a dark ocean. They seem close enough to touch sometimes 🙂

  2. Beautiful reminder indeed Bill. We take neighborhood walks pretty much all summer long at night once Kevin gets home from work. Now that it has been getting cooler and darker earlier with Fall, we have not really been taking walks as much. But this past weekend, we did take one on Sunday afternoon and just being outdoors in the beautiful Fall weather was very relaxing. So I can totally agree with your message here 🙂

  3. There is nothing more beautiful than spending time walking outdoors in nature, connecting with the earth, and getting back in touch with who you are and what your purpose in life really is. Even better when you do it with the ones you love. 🙂

  4. Good advice. I did it today, after staring in front of the screen pounding keys. It is quite good for the soul!
