A Tribute To My Friend Cyndi

teacherThis blog is mostly about the simple life, but that doesn’t mean I can’t delve into the heavy and complex sometimes.

I was thinking about my lil’ Sis Cyndi, a writer at HubPages and also a writer of her own blog.  You can see that blog here.

When I first met Cyndi a year ago, it was through her writing.  I enjoyed her articles on grammar and found her to have a marvelous sense of humor and of course excellent grammar.  Duh!

But as I got to know her better I found great complexity in her.  She was a teacher who was struggling with her career.  She wanted freedom in her life and she wanted to chase her dream.  I just assumed her dream was to write because based on what I knew of her she seemed to just be a writer.

Oh how wrong I was.  Cyndi is so much more than just a writer.  She is a photographer and an artist, and her talents are growing before my very eyes…..and yet she is so much more.

She is a loving wife and a compassionate human being.  She genuinely cares about people, and she is intensely loyal to her friends and family.  She loves nature and she is an environmentalist, and she would love to be a minimalist and go green all the way.

You see, she is far from simple and yet she has embraced the simple life, and that is just one reason why I like her like a sister.

Cyndi, this one is for you!  I am honored to know you and in awe of your creativity and talent.

  3. LOL…I’ve got everyone using the word, “awesomesauce,” LOL. What a wonderful thing to find in my inbox when I got back from my meeting at school. You are a kind dude, Big Bro. Indeed, I am happy with my life and though I’ve given up certain securities, I feel like I am on the right path. I don’t know how or why, but I feel and believe so strongly in what I’m doing. I haven’t written much for HP lately, but it’s only cuz I’ve had these other projects going on and I’m developing some arts related ideas for hubs. Thank you for your support. You have influenced me more than you know. 🙂

  6. Amazing tribute to Cyndi, Bill! I can say that this woman is someone I’m glad I came into contact with, and someone who I’d have a hard time of letting go. I feel like we’re kindred spirits in a way, and she’s one of those people I would also love to meet in real life. Thanks for sharing this…loved it!
